Preserve Your Rarest Collections While You Serve More Patrons Today.

We turn fragile microfilm, bound newspapers, and fading photos into searchable digital assets—perfectly aligned with your fiscal year grants and library budgets.

Don't Let Budget Cycles Limit Your Community's Access.

Many libraries operate on rigid fiscal cycles, waiting for grant disbursements to begin projects that could delay community access. American Digital Memories understands the pressure of annual budgets and grant deadlines. We don't just digitize; we provide a strategic roadmap that allows you to:

  • Start Small, Scale Fast: Launch with a core collection this fiscal year, then expand next year as funds become available.
  • Maximize Grant Impact: We help you structure your project so every dollar spent yields maximum public access and measurable outcomes for your report cards.
  • Zero Financial Risk: Our flexible payment options mean you don't have to front hundreds of thousands upfront.

Three Pillars of a Successful Digitization Project

Instant Searchability = Increased Foot Traffic & Digital Downloads

  • The Pain Point: Patrons currently waste hours flipping through brittle microfilm reels or struggling to find specific articles in bound yearbooks. This limits your library's appeal and reduces digital download counts—a key KPI for modern grants.
  • The ADM Solution: We apply advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to turn your entire news archive into a searchable database within minutes.
    • Result: Patrons can type "1950s school board meeting" and instantly find the page. This drives increased usage statistics, proving to grantors that your investment generates tangible community engagement data immediately.

Proactive Preservation = Protecting Your Next Year's Budget

  • The Pain Point: Replacing physical media is expensive, and deteriorating assets (brittle paper, fading color) lead to "lost collections," a frequent reason for funding cuts or reduced grant eligibility next year.
  • The ADM Solution: Our non-destructive overhead scanners capture your fragile originals in pristine 400dpi full-color or greyscale. By creating a permanent digital copy before the physical item crumbles, you secure the collection's integrity without spending another dollar on new hardware or storage space next fiscal year.

✅ Media Versatility = One Contract, Infinite Coverage

  • The Pain Point: Hiring separate vendors for audio tapes, video films, and book scanning often leads to fragmented budgets and inconsistent quality across your archive.
  • The ADM Solution: We consolidate all media types under one contract and a single team of specialists. Whether it's VHS home movies, 8mm film reels, oversized architectural blueprints, or genealogical slides, our unified service ensures consistent high-quality output everywhere in your library system without the administrative hassle of multiple sub-contracts.

Funding Doesn't Have to Stop Your Progress.

We know your library operates on tight margins and specific grant requirements. That's why we offer flexible engagement models designed to fit your financial reality:

  • Phase-Based Contracting: Lock in a budget for Year 1 (e.g., $5,000), digitize a pilot collection, receive satisfaction, and add additional phases for subsequent years as new grants arrive.
  • Pay-As-You-Go Options: We can structure payments to align with your receiving month of grant funds, ensuring smooth cash flow management.
  • Grant Reporting Ready: Our detailed project reports and usage analytics help you demonstrate clear ROI (Return on Investment) to grantors, showing exactly how your digital investment increased community access and preserved cultural heritage.

Flexible Options

Trusted by Libraries Nation-Wide

On the very day I received the digitized hard drive in the mail, there was a message in my email from a former 1975 AFS student from Turkey. He had written 7+ articles for the Gridley News in 1975 and wondered if I could locate and send them to him. Normally I would have cringed because of the time it would have taken. But, instead I plugged in the hard drive, put his name in, and there were his articles! I knew then it was worth the investment.

Director, Gridley Public Library

Our newspapers on microfilm have always been popular, but more patrons are accessing the digitized materials – especially now that they are easier to search, print from, and use. With our digitized product, it is nice to know that the newspapers in our collection will degrade no further. And, now that the microfilm storage space and reader are gone, we have more space to expand in our renovation. I must admit that sending away our microfilm carried a bit of anxiety with it. But as it turned out, we worried needlessly because AMERICAN DIGITAL MEMORIES took great care with our property and did a wonderful job in all respects. In fact, the digitization process was smooth and exciting as we saw our crumbling microfilm replaced with beautifully enhanced digitization. ADM was willing to digitize our microfilm in phases and at a great price, allowing us to get the work done in the shortest amount of time. ADM kept in constant contact with us as our property was shipped, received, and returned. At ADM, every person that I spoke with was both supportive and professional. Overall, we’re so glad that we chose AMERICAN DIGITAL MEMORIES to handle our digitization needs.

This has been a tremendous help to us in our ability to provide our community and beyond with yet another means of access to our city’s rich and interesting history. We are grateful for ADM and their service to our Library!
